Like The Cheetah

So fast I move
Like the cheetah
Running on and
Never a slow moment

I start off with a bang
And never slow down
Until miles away
When I reach my ultimate goal

I pounce at times
Creating suspense
Will I catch my prey?
Or will there be yet another twist?

I can turn and weave
I can change my speed
But I never falter to slow
For that will mean losing my prey

I am quick
I am fast
And I never create a dull moment
Like the cheetah

The Immortal Womb (Excerpt)

Unknown Location- 2012
Travis Hook walked down a long, brightly lit, white hallway. He was on his way to the most important room on the entire planet and the most important people ever in existence. All he knew about them was that they were called the Remarkable Children and they were the second group of their kind; although the first group didn’t make it. He did know more about the actual project though. It was called Task 9, as there had been eight other failed experiments in the same field, and it was held as the most classified assignment in the world. Only ten others besides Travis had the knowledge that anything was even going on. He always grew very smug when he thought about this fact.
Finally, Travis made it to the sliding door at the end of the hall. He entered in the pass code, 4-5-1-2-0-8, and the white door flew open in a flash. The next hallway was dark, but a small light was radiating far down at the very end. Filled with anticipation, Travis stepped forward into the darkness and the sliding door closed behind him. It was even darker now, but knowing what awaited him at the end of this new hallway made Travis trek on.
The farther he went, the bigger the light grew until it was just a little taller then he was. Nothing could be seen beyond the point of the door, the light was too bright and the hall was to dark to allow his vision past. This made Travis begin to walk faster and faster until he was almost running. The door grew closer and closer with each step, making Travis extremely apprehensive. The Remarkable Children were just beyond his reach now. He would only be the fifth of the ten people that new about the children to actually see them.
